Annette Carey hails from Ardagh Co Mayo and from a family of eight.

I came to England in March 1990 and I have lived in Levenshulme since. I've worked in the catering industry for the past 20 years along with doing some part time bar work in the railway pub on Stockport road , this was a great introduction to Manchester 's thriving Irish scene.

I have a 8 year old son called Dylan who attends St Mary's primary school. My first introduction to Martin Logan was through Oisin's GAA and it was then he asked if I would be interested in helping on the radio and the rest is history as they say.
